MBR Gardens to feature waterways

Renowned architect Eric Kuhne of London-based CivicArts said in a statement that water will be the lifeblood of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Gardens, pumped through a network of canals, pools and waterways. With over 150 km of waterfront and wetlands, the Central Union Canal will be designed to give the city’s ecosystem the capacity to support a range of living creatures.

Corrections seen in Dubai property

Corrections are seen to be the way to go for Dubai's real property sector, according to a top asset management company official, cited by Gulf News. Shehab Gargash, CEO of Daman Investments dismissed the idea of a crash. Some developers also agree that prices are unreasonably high. Overall, the recent slowdown in the market is seen as temporary shake up but onwards to continued growth.

Damac’s The Lofts begins work

Damac Properties announced it has started the construction works for 'The Lofts', Damac's second Abdali-based project in Jordan. The JD53m contract was awarded to Arabtec-EEC JV, targeting completion date by the end of 2010.
